Instructions to install the Yamaha midplug for xg.

Go to the Yamaha midplug download page at: www.yamaha.co.uk/xg/html/h_midplg.htm & choose which version you wish to download, for Internet explorer choose version 1.10E,(midplug control for xg win95/98/me+ Internet Explorer).

Click "accept" (for IE Control version with no SoftSynthesizer,825k)

Click on save file.

Two folders will be saved on your computer 1. Mcxg110e. 2. Mcxge. Open the Mcxge folder & click on "setup.exe" application. This should install the Yamaha midplug.
Click on "Home" (left) & you should see the Yamaha control panel like the one below.

1. Play button. 2. Pause button. 3. Stop button. 4/5. Volume up/down. 6. Display. Shows Midi-file playing.
Right click on control panel accesses a popup menu. Tempo up/down, speeds up/slows down the tempo of the song playing. Transpose up/down, raises/lowers the key of the song by one semitone.
